I’m struggling to process
That my chronic illness
Reacts very strongly
To stress
The chemicals released
For joy and excitement
Animated enjoyment
Anger and upset
And heated debate
However brief and exhilarating
All cause the same reaction
Complete and utter exhaustion
Together with dizziness
And vertigo of all shades
Losing balance
And common sense
To reduce all these symptoms
I have to suppress
All emotions
So I’ll write them all down
And give them life
To them all through my pen
